Apple’s 9.7-inch iPad with Pencil is Designed for Powerful AR Apps

The new 9.-inch iPad starts at $329 and the Apple Pencil sells separately for $99.

9.7-inch iPad is Powerful and Productive

Apple’s 9.7-inch iPad and Apple Pencil launched today is going after designers and the creative type. Starting at $329, it can be used for sketching ideas and taking down handwritten notes to marking up screenshots with Apple Pencil. It features a large Retina display, the A10 Fusion chip and advanced sensors that help deliver immersive augmented reality, and provides unmatched portability, ease of use and all-day battery life. The Apple Pencil is available for purchase separately for $99. Schools get a special price and can purchase the iPad starting at $299 (US) and Apple Pencil for $89 (US).

iPad now features Apple Pencil support, giving users the ability to be even more creative and productive.

Augmented Reality

With its crisp large viewfinder for immersive AR experiences, the new iPad is ready for the next generation of AR apps. How so? It comes with a 7-inch Retina Display, A10 Fusion chip the same as the second-generation iPad Pro, 8MP camera w 1080 HD and advanced sensors, including a gyroscope and accelerometer designed for accurate motion tracking.

iOS 11 makes iPad more capable than ever with features like enhanced multitasking.

Featuring the Apple-designed A10 Fusion chip with 64‑bit desktop-class architecture, delivering 40 percent faster CPU and 50 percent faster graphics performance for seamless multitasking and graphics-intensive apps, the new iPad with Apple Pencil also comes equipped with a front- and rear-facing cameras and HD video recording for document scanning, moviemaking, and FaceTime calls.
