Chipotle Launches a Sustainable Farmed Gear Collection that Includes Upcycled Dye Made from Avocado Pits Used at its Restaurants

Just to show you that guacamole truly is heaven's food.

If you’re one of the 15 million-member of Chipotle Rewards, you’ve already have had first access to the responsibly sources apparel collection. The Chipotle Goods line is made with organic cotton and branded accessories, is now available to all, and from what we can see is quite charming. Chipotle Mexican Grill (NYSE: CMG) is a long-standing advocate for social responsibility and is one of the largest purchasers of avocado in the world, yummy guacamole. The company will donate all profits from the collection to organizations that are mandated on making fashion and farming industries more sustainable.

By purchasing apparel made with organic cotton from Loomstate for its Goods collection Chipotle expects to prevent the use of a significant amount of synthetic pesticides.

Since 2012, Chipotle has dressed its employees in uniforms made with organic cotton making it one of the largest buyers of Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) cotton in the U.S.
