PDW Breaks Endurance World Record with C100 Drone Technology

C100 System timed over 2 hours of flight-time on record as of today.

PDW based in Huntsville, AL, a leading manufacturer of military small unmanned aerial systems and technologies, is debuting its new platforms; the C100, S20, and N1. This family of systems shares a common design in electronics and software across three different sized platforms while varying in endurance, payload, and autonomy configurations.

On March 18, 2022, PDW broke the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ for ‘Endurance in a battery-powered prototype multirotor/drone (5-20 kg)’ with a prototype C100 drivetrain after flying for 2 hours, 14 minutes, and 15 seconds. This marks the highest flight time in any battery-powered quadcopter sUAS (5-20 kg) ever flown. Ryan Gury, Chief Executive Officer said, ”The world record-setting drivetrain used in C100 is ideal for ultra-endurance ISR missions and is poised to play a pivotal role in expanding the organic ISR capabilities of the modern warfighter.”

C100 is designed for ultra-endurance in the field and offers universal payload integration. This system is built with durability and versatility in mind to withstand extreme weather, and operate in zero-light GPS denied environments.

PDW’s platforms are available for demonstration and purchase in May 2022.

About PDW

PDW develops custom solutions for the modern warfighter. The PDW team, holder of multiple sUAS performance world records and over 20 unique sUAS-related patents, first developed custom hardware for Naval SOF groups.

PDW’s products are developed for the warfighter with frequent touchpoints and operator input from sUAS users across the US military and law enforcement. These products, including the hand-sized N1 breach drone, the soldier-borne S20, and ultra-endurance C100 provide operators with the tools necessary to quickly deploy in the field, ensure mission effectiveness, and exit cleanly.

Headquartered in Huntsville, AL, PDW’s team continues to scale rapidly with a product focus around creating meaningful, operationalized autonomy and ISR features designed specifically to advance the tactical capabilities of the US military.
