Lagoon Valley, the Bay Area’s first Conservation Community, features a lifestyle of sustainability on display when its Visitors Center opens this November. Guests will be introduced to the principles of sustainability, community vision and a tour of the first model homes. There is a cinematic tour, allowing visitors to virtually explore the community, in which 85% of the specific plan is dedicated to recreation and preserved open space. Residents will enjoy an environment with over 400-acres of public parks, a new 70-acre wetland preserve, and a 1,305-acre nature preserve on the surrounding hills.
This one-of-a-kind master-planned community finds balance between recreation and much needed housing, while keeping 70% of the land as preserved open space. The first phase of new homes nestled in this beautiful valley are built by Lennar, one of America’s leading homebuilders. Lilac Ridge will feature four distinct floorplans, including Next Gen® – The Home Within a Home® design, perfect for multi-generational families.
All the residences in the first phase of the Community will be detached single-family homes ranging in size from 2,400 to 3,700 square feet. These neighborhoods will have easy access to the future Event Center/Swim/Sports Club, the 5-acre community Organic Farm, and retail businesses. The community is planned to include a spectacular 18-hole golf course designed by celebrated course designer, Robert Trent Jones II.
When visiting, be sure to take the virtual tour. It provides a bird’s eye flight through the Valley and our vision for this pedestrian-friendly community. Learn about the community’s five principles of sustainability, then go tour the gorgeous, decorated model homes. “Decades in the making, we’re doing things differently at Lagoon Valley, and we can’t wait to share it with the community”, says Curt Johansen, Development Director.
In the virtual tour screening room, guests can:
- Fly over the lake, the orchards, and gardens of the Organic Farm and through the Event Center, which includes a café and banquet room, a swimming complex, sports courts, and fitness facility.
- Experience the vibrant Town Center with neighborhood shops and a public plaza.
- Get a feel for the various residential neighborhoods. The 14 neighborhoods will range from affordable housing to executive estates, and include age-qualified residences.
- Enjoy hundreds of acres of active and passive parks – filled with play fields for all kinds of sport, and quiet spaces for meditative strolls and birdwatching.
- Get a peek at the 18-hole championship golf course designed by Robert Trent Jones II. It is being created to preserve native habitat, buffer the open space, mitigate flood potential, and help protect against wildfires.
- Envision a valley where hundreds of acres of preserved open space and wetland habitat meld seamlessly with a vibrant live, work, play community.
Last but not least, visitors will meet “Lagoona”, a painted cow sculpture, part of a public art project that welcomed six life-size bovines to town, painted by local artists. Lagoon Valley adopted “Lagoona”, painted by artist and teacher Cristie Baron. It features the Lagoon Valley landscape with native flora and fauna, reflecting the community’s agricultural heritage.
Lagoon Valley’s new Visitors Center is located at 200 Mount Royal Road, Vacaville, CA, 94533 and is open Wednesday through Sunday from 10am to 6pm. For additional information about Lagoon Valley, please contact Leigh-Anne Anderson at landerson@gauger-associates.com. Learn more at Lagoon-Valley.com.
