Chris Hemsworth, Halle Berry, and Mark Ruffalo Shine at London Premiere of Crime 101

London Glitz Meets High-Stakes Heists: Crime 101 Premiere Shines

The London red carpet glittered Thursday night as Hollywood’s elite gathered for the UK premiere of Crime 101, the highly anticipated heist thriller from director and co-writer Bart Layton. Set to hit theaters on Feb. 13, 2026 via Amazon MGM Studios, the film promises adrenaline-fueled chases and a star-studded ensemble that had fans buzzing long before the first scene.

“Set against the sun-bleached grit of Los Angeles,” reads the film’s synopsis, Crime 101 follows Chris Hemsworth as an elusive thief pulling off daring heists along the iconic 101 Freeway. Joining him in this high-stakes game of cat and mouse are Halle Berry and Mark Ruffalo, each skirting the law in ways that keep audiences guessing until the final frame.

The premiere brought out the entire cast, including Barry Keoghan, Monica Barbaro, Corey Hawkins, Jennifer Jason Leigh, and Nick Nolte, who posed for photographers and shared laughs with fans along the velvet rope. With Hemsworth in a sleek black suit and Berry radiating classic Hollywood glamour, the night was equal parts glitz and grit, echoing the film’s tension-packed narrative.

Adapted from Don Winslow’s acclaimed novella and co-written by Peter Straughan, Crime 101 blends smart plotting with high-octane action. The trailer, released on Oct. 23, offered a taste of the film’s twisty turns: precision heists, edge-of-your-seat car chases, and morally complex characters whose loyalties shift as fast as the traffic on the 101.

Hemsworth described his role “a master of misdirection—someone who’s always one step ahead, yet deeply human underneath the swagger,”

In interviews on the red carpet, Layton emphasized his goal of creating a thriller that “keeps your heart racing but rewards you for paying attention.” Hemsworth described his character as “a master of misdirection—someone who’s always one step ahead, yet deeply human underneath the swagger,” while Berry added, “There’s a real tension between these characters, and every scene feels like a game of chess.”

Berry added, “There’s a real tension between these characters, and every scene feels like a game of chess.”

With a February release, Crime 101 is already generating Oscar buzz, thanks to its combination of star power, meticulous direction, and the intricate storytelling for which Layton is known. Fans who have seen the trailer are already speculating on plot twists and alliances, ensuring that when the film finally rolls into theaters, anticipation will be at a fever pitch.

Red carpet highlights: Hemsworth and Berry shared a playful moment while discussing the stunts, Ruffalo joked about trying to “keep up with the speeders,” and Keoghan stole the show with his signature mix of charm and mischief. The evening confirmed that Crime 101 is not just a film—it’s a full-on Hollywood spectacle, ready to dominate both screens and conversation in 2026.
