Olivia Dean, Billie Eilish, Kendrick Lamar, and Bad Bunny Take Center Stage at the 68th Grammys

ICE Out, Couture, and Hits: The Grammys’ Grand Finale on CBS

The 68th Annual Grammy Awards kicked off with a mix of glamour, chaos, and razor-sharp humor that only Trevor Noah could deliver. As the night unfolded at L.A.’s Crypto.com Arena, Noah quipped about the coveted Song of the Year award: “That is a Grammy that every artist wants almost as much as Trump wants Greenland, which makes sense … because Epstein’s island is gone, he needs a new one to hang out with Bill Clinton.” Moments earlier, Cher, ever the icon, had misread the winner for Record of the Year, mistakenly announcing the late Luther Vandross before correcting herself to reveal Kendrick Lamar and SZA as the true recipients.

The evening was equal parts spectacle and surprise. Heidi Klum made a jaw-dropping entrance in a plastic dress so form-fitting, it hindered her ability to sit or walk, while Justin Bieber delivered a high-energy performance that had the crowd on its feet. On the awards side, Olivia Dean won Best New Artist, Billie Eilish and Finneas took Song of the Year, Kendrick Lamar with SZA earned Record of the Year, and Bad Bunny claimed Album of the Year. The majority of the 95 awards were handed out during the non-televised Premiere Ceremony, hosted by Darren Criss.

After more than half a century, this was CBS’s final Grammy broadcast before the show moves to Disney outlets in 2027, making the night a historic mix of laughter, fashion, and unforgettable music moments.

Album of the Year — Bad Bunny
Debí Tirar Más Fotos

Bad Bunny made Grammy history as the first artist to win Album of the Year with a predominantly Spanish-language album. Debí Tirar Más Fotos blends reggaeton, Latin pop, and introspective songwriting, further cementing his global cultural impact.

“Before I say thank you to God, I want to say this: we are humans. We are not illegal, we are not aliens. We are people with dreams.”

— Bad Bunny, Grammy Awards acceptance speech

Record of the Year — Kendrick Lamar & SZA
“Luther”

“Luther” earned Record of the Year for its emotional depth, meticulous production, and tribute to the legacy of Luther Vandross. The collaboration marked another milestone in Kendrick Lamar and SZA’s creative partnership.

— Kendrick Lamar, Grammy Awards acceptance remarks

Song of the Year — Billie Eilish & Finneas
“Wildflower”

Written by Billie Eilish and Finneas O’Connell, “Wildflower” won Song of the Year for its intimate lyricism and minimalist composition, continuing the siblings’ tradition of critically acclaimed songwriting.

“No one is illegal on stolen land.”

— Billie Eilish, Grammy Awards acceptance speech

Best New Artist — Olivia Dean

British singer-songwriter Olivia Dean won Best New Artist, recognized for her soulful vocals, thoughtful songwriting, and rapid rise as one of pop and R&B’s most promising new voices.

“I’m standing here as the granddaughter of an immigrant — a product of bravery — and those people deserve to be celebrated.”

— Olivia Dean, Grammy Awards acceptance speech
