Epstein Survivors Push Back on Melania Trump Remarks, Say “Justice Cannot Shift Burden Back to Victims”

Survivors of Jeffrey Epstein are pushing back on recent remarks by Melania Trump, escalating a growing debate over accountability and how victim testimony is being framed.

Survivors of Jeffrey Epstein are pushing back after recent public remarks by Melania Trump, escalating an ongoing public debate that has unfolded across multiple recent statements involving Epstein-related accountability and transparency.

The response follows earlier developments in which Melania Trump’s remarks prompted public discussion and political reaction, including renewed calls for Congress to hear from Epstein victims.

The framing of survivor testimony in the broader political conversation intensified following those statements.

In a statement, survivors emphasized the burden they have already carried:

“Survivors of Jeffrey Epstein have already shown extraordinary courage by coming forward, filing reports, and giving testimony.”

They cautioned against the misplaced pressure on victims.

“Asking more of them now is a deflection of responsibility, not justice.”

The statement criticizes what it describes as the politicization of survivor narratives, arguing that current discourse risks shifting attention away from institutional accountability and systemic failures. It also references ongoing concerns tied to transparency and handling of Epstein-related investigative materials.

Survivors also raise concerns about unanswered questions surrounding withheld materials and the protection of sensitive identities, drawing attention to Pam Bondi. They argue these gaps may continue to undermine trust while exposing survivors to risk.

The statement further urges a shift in focus away from survivors and toward institutions responsible for accountability:

“Survivors have done their part. Now it’s time for those in power to do theirs.”

It calls for renewed scrutiny of law enforcement, prosecutors, and political leadership to ensure transparency and address unresolved failures.

Survivors emphasize that the Department of Justice should take responsibility for investigating complaints and enforcing the law, regardless of who is accused, as debate over Epstein-related records and accountability intensifies.
